Wayne Jaeschke, Principal Attorney

Wayne Jaeschke has over 30 years experience as a registered patent attorney. After attending law school in Washington, D.C., Wayne worked in private practice until 2006 when he entered corporate practice at Johnson & Johnson. Wayne provided intellectual property counsel on significant transactions, lead the training program for R&D associates across J&J’s MedTech sector, and managed the patent portfolios of major product lines across various J&J companies over the years, gaining experience in the diabetes-care, cardiovascular, vision care, diagnostic, and orthopedic business, among many smaller businesses within J&J’s corporate family.

As a patent attorney, Wayne’s practice is focuses solely on matters before the Federal Courts of the United States and United States Patent and Trademark Office. Wayne also served as committee chair in the Intellectual Property Owner’s Association and remains a Vice Chair of the International Patent Law and Trade Committee.

Outside of work, Wayne is a noted amateur astronomer and has been credited with numerous discoveries and has been widely published, including in major scientific journals such as Nature. Wayne’s astrophotography has been used in television and film as well as featured on Discovery Channel’s “Nasa’s Unexplained Files”.
